The Formulation of Silica Hot Repair and Mortar

Silica hot repair and mortar is a modern high-tech multi-phase composite material. It is composed of six phases including aggregate, ceramic binder phase, disperse phase, modified plus phase, chemical additives and water. 

Every phase of the composite material is a composite phase system. The actual number of the phases is more than twice the above number. 

 

1) Aggregate

Aggregate is the basic component of the silica hot repair and mortar. The following parameters and properties of the silica hot repair and mortar should be strictly controlled. Calcined clinker must achieve the greatest degree of transformation; SiO2 content should be greater than 95%, and refractoriness should be higher than 1750 ℃; It should have a high temperature stable mineral phase mainly composed of tridymite; the binding reaction mode between aggregate and binding agent should be controlled; it should be composed of multi-grade reasonable particles to ensure the packing density of aggregate particles. 

 

2) Ceramic binder phase

Ceramic binder phase is an important component of the composite material and has special influence on its properties. 

 

3) Disperse phase

The disperse phase is an important component of the composite material. Under the action of disperse phase, high consistency ceramic binder suspension can give full play to the role of efficient binding. 

 

Besides, modified plus phase, chemical additives and water are also added.
