Under the effect of vibration, since dynamic friction replaces static friction, the friction inside the mud and between the mud and mold wall greatly decreases. The mud particles have good flowability to fill the various parts of the mold. Meanwhile, the small particles can fill the voids between large particles to achieve a dense structure.
 
The advantage of vibration molding is the simple device structure, low cost, small power requirements and larger work surface. It is suitable for the molding of large or plate-like bricks.  The disadvantage is the high strength and stiffness requirements for the molding equipment parts and components. Since the stiffness of the support springs is different, it could easily lead to uneven stress and uneven density on different parts of plate-like bricks. There are many kinds of vibration molding equipment. Methods such as pressurizing the mud or pressurizing while vibrating can increase the density of the molding. 
 
Factors that affect the properties of the bricks mainly include two aspects. One is the vibrating parameters of the equipment, including the vibration frequency, amplitude and the pressure applied. The other is the properties of the mud, including size composition and the type and quantity of binding agent.
