Refractory Materials Used In the Coke Oven

A coke oven is an oven for the conversion of coal into coke by heating the coal in the absence of air so as to distill the volatile ingredients. The main refractory materials used in the coke oven include silica brick, fire clay brick and high alumina brick. The requirements of coke ovens for refractory materials are as followings:
1)       Can withstand pressure and mechanical load without deformation and maintain volume stability at high temperature.
2)       Have good conductivity at high temperature.
3)       Can adapt to the temperature change without damages under normal production conditions.
4)       Can resist the chemical corrosion of slags and coal.
5)       Have good wear resistance.
